BTW what are Asurians and Sylvarians? And are there to be male norns ? Do they use spindles and scissors as weapons?
Oh i can see my little Charr shamaness already!
To be honest...no matter what they do in GW 2 - Im a fan ..and loyal- so im gonna play it anyway. And eve IF GW 2 was like WoW it would still be better. Im convinced. I have to rub it onto the noses of all my wow-freaky colleagues...

Diablo 1 did not have any different stand alone games that were compatible in a competitive gaming market where losing customers counts.

If it's any help, silva is latin for forest so that might be some kind of hint or something....
Edit* just picked up the dictionary and found something about the other one.. maybe
"asura- in Hindu mythology, an antagonist of the gods; especially one of a race of titans or demons"

assuming they keep an international skill hunter title if they decide to split the track into campaign specific tracks, and also assuming the master skill hunter is the highest tier of the track, then, 90 of the new skills would be elite, which is kind of lame

All sorts of kooky ways to make this happen story wise.
Lost in the mists for a 100 years, the gods call on some of Tyria's greatest heroes one more time.
Frozen inside a glacier for 100 year, the great thawing awakened some of Tyria's greatest heroes.
After piloting an experimental glider Captain Buck Rynale was exposed to a freak accident, and thrown into an orbit many times greater than any before. Frozen in time she returns some 100 years later.. Cue music... Buck Rynale in the 25th CE
See my Wilma Deering wishes are coming true.. TY Anet...

I hope there wont be a GW2. I always believed they would just constantly update the engine,small bits at a time, so the game slowly becomes more advanced,almost without anyone noticing it. (the moving mouths for example). I want GW to go on for at least ten years!

40 new armor set? Nothing great, NF brought us 5 armor set for each class (except Assassin and Ritualist)
150 new skill? Maybe unbalanced skills like SF and SS were (Searing Flames, SandStorm). They will be ubermax powered, so people begin to love them, and nerfed after 2 month when lot of guyz bought and enjoyed the game.
Dungeon multi-level? Sorry, we're talking about GuildWars, that is a C-RPG (Competitive RPG), not a MMO-RPG (massive). Multi-level belongs to a Pve-only game, and Gw isn't.

Sure, there may be a way to explain how you *get* there, but I'd see it as a one-way trip, like Pre-Searing Ascalon.

Please Anet, just dont.
PVP is imbalanced enough without having to wait 3 months for any balance to another races abilities or skills. Theres a reason i play GW and not WoW, and making the PVP more mindless isnt helping.

LoL PVE players have their opinions about PVP players and vice versa, but you can't give all the cookies to one side of the game. Isn't GW mainly a PVP environment?

Or more appropriately, like updating a standard D2 character to LoD

umm ... WTH are Norns, Asurians and Sylvarians - and why arent there playable Centaurs, Tengu and Dwaves.
---
Anyway, i REALLY hope that that 3 of of those 18 dungeons are missing god realms.
---
new expasion get tumbs up for:
* no new classes (relieved to hear this)
* 100% L20
* finishing story of Ascalon.
* size
* more heroes
thumbs down for:
* GW1 is gonna end way sooner than expected.

I hope this article is beyond fake... but as we all know rumours are rumours... and are dead true 90% of the time.
First off, Anet is going in the right direction. Ending the story of what happened to Ascalon, one of the biggest PvE questions to have laid their hands on since beta. Few skills... even better imo more time to look at their function and with 1/3 of them being PvE only PvP will obviously get a few shakes and skills already existing will be looked at for balance.
My biggest concern ever... GW2, I see so many things wrong with this it is honestly shattering to read that, and even think about signing on THIS guildwars again. Time effort and energy spent will be gone and wasted. There was a comparison as to how other games have had sequels and you are correct, yet this game is different ~ It has the ability to become better as technology increases HOW IT IS~
Either way, until this is confirmed... Gaile... Please... alot of us are sitting in our hot seats. If GW2 is not compatible with GW1, this game will die immediately. If it IS compatible there could possibly be some kind of revival to this game.

Where did you get that? there wasnt much pvp during beta.We had to play pve .... it was nice to run for the first time to lions arch at gates of kryta while it use the enviroment of the burned out Ascalon before Ascalon even existed.
And about cookies..... what can pvp players posibly want? they got no use for areas or quests or the story line.... they only want skills @_@ that you can get with unlock pack.

According to everything thats going on in these last 3 1/2 pages, people want to quit right now, no matter what? if its not compatible? For some reason i doubt that. You might disagree with everything thats going on right now, but everyone that is reading this thread is on the edge of their seats waiting...
